Just wondering if anyone has a list of questions to ask the surgeon this week...

I have some ideas, but I am looking to the experts (you) who have already been there.

"My Blood Type is Be Positive"

  • Look at the top of the page and click on the FAQ section. There is a link of to a list of questions to ask a spine surgeon. Some of them may not apply to you as a cervical patient or some you might have the answers to already.

The basic questions are time of recovery, need for brace, type of bone grafting material, success he has with his fusion rates using whatever bone grafting material he/she is using. Do you have any other levels that might fall victim to adjacent disc disease?

The list should help you with the most of the questions.
  • Thank you for the direction! I appreciate it!!

  • I had a ACDF from C5-C6 and the surgery failed, it caused a swan-neck deformaty and the screws were actually backing out, so I now have a ACDF from C4-C7 so ask what happens if it doesnt take bc the 2nd surgery was the most painful thing I ever went through I wish you the best of luck, God bless
