I will not bore you with the battle which
ended my career. Firt Big time foot pain.
Surg. on both feet, wrong no Morton's neuroma.
6 months after started Lyrica and could walk
again. cervical fusion (5 years and it is time
again). Hips hurt legs hurt ect.
My career was in spinal appliances and through
all I know,a ton of research, and taking to reliable
sources. this is what I found a This is a disease
and for the most part no cure. Exercise, if you
can, pain meds& mussel relaxers.
According to New England Journal of medicine.
surgery has short term relief but chances of
regrowth of the lamina is more than possible.
So here we are looking for a snake oil or whoever
the latest propaganda from some Dr. comes up with
the latest " White Elephant " to bring you in and
into the O.R. and bill.
I have come get a handle on it. This is it and
this is on nasty disease, just hope it moves slower.
Hell, My next pill to add to my 11 Rx I have will be Marinol.
Best Regards and No cutting unless in cervical

  • ya seams like the lumbar area is a hard one to get over . i was or am surprised at all the people i have met that have had a prob. in that area still have problems. i look at some that are way older than i and are just starting with it. and realize that when i or if i get to that age i will be lucky if i can still walk.
  • I was just diagnosed 6 week ago. Had a
MRI and to save me from another Dr. giving
    the same bad news.
I am fortunate to have a great Dr. and
we work together very well. Sent me for the
facet injection of dental Anesthetic. Boy that one lasted until I got home. The procedure was
intended for shot term relief in Iraqi. How
long does your mouth stay bomb ?
Been trough the steroid injections,no help.
Every time I Had one my mood was very bad.
Stay away from Dr.s who are more into marketing
    than patient care.
My Dr. has sent my MRI to 4 renown surgeons
and all ways the same answer "cannot help".
Hear are the statements as we received them.
Even we may be able to give short relief but.
going back in is no picnic and further gives
even more problems due to more spinal trauma
I am going to have another cervical surg. #
2 in 5 years. The cervical must be derived
due to the possible damage to upper torso.
******** Asking for help to stp the loss of mass in limbs.

  • DO you have stenosis?
If so it is either genetics or age or both.
Sounds like you have a eager Dr. to cut.
The rule of thumb is do not cut until your
back is effecting your lower extemeties.
If it is Stenosis this cat will not see
you when it makes it's pesents obvious to
you..Are you seeing a Neuro. surg.?
    If not get one.
    Best of luck Gary
  • not really yet according to one of the ortho-docs just starting of growth of some kind of tissue in the spinal canal at L5 but did not look like a problem yet (on mri)prob from herniated disc or the surgery scar tissue but it is getting bigger from 2nd to 3rd mri.
    i have re-herniated l5-s1 and big bulge l4-5
nerve compression from disc at L5-s1.
and all the fun that gos with it ,low back, butt, leg, foot, toe, pain
