New to forum even though I have had previous kyphoplasty (2) and lumbar laminectomy a couple of years ago.

Now a venture into the cervical area --

5 and a half weeks since bone spurs removed and level 4 fusion. Started PT - 2 sessions a week plus home exercises daily. Off pain meds. Tylenol as needed. Two main issues - energy level very slow to return but able to do some walking. Other one is soft tissue trauma from the lengthy surgical procedure.

All in all - satisfied so far even though I am not known for a high patience level.

  • It sounds like you are progressing nicely. Hope it will continue and you will get stronger each day and more comfortable. I do remember that it took my stamina a while to return, but I know I didn't walk enough.
I have another surgery in May and I'm going to WALK WALK WALK! I've been doing it for a couple of months religiously to have my strength built up ahead of time this time around.
