I guess this can fit into this forum as LTC would be due to deteriorating health issues!
A friend and I where talking today, and she asked if I had Long Term Care Insurance. I thought I did, but nope. So I contacted some of the major companies that still offer it. Basically I was told since I have ongoing spine issues, nerve damage and Neuropathy, I will not, and don't qualify to purchase it!
That didn't thrill me, but didn't surprise me. They do have a program that my hubby (he's healthy) can qualify. If he at least get covered, I won't have to see our finances go to hell paying for it. Due to being retired with an annuity, I have a few options, but his insurance presently isn't the greatest. I have the contact number for the company that will cover him, and he will call when he gets home - he just doesn't know it! (G)
Just thought I would post this a food for thought.
