Hello! My name is Meg :)
I'm 24 years old diagnosed with severe DDD.
My symptoms started when I was 6, I was diagnosed at age 12.. had my first surgery the day after my 14th birthday now here I sit four operations and countless procedures later in crazy amounts of pain getting weaker by the day.

I'm reaching out for some support, hope and maybe some new friends so here I am! :)

This is a great site... with all the info and the forums and people.. keep checking it out and I hope you get some info to help reduce your pain and improve your lifestyle.
Since you've had many procedures already..I assume you have a pain management doc. He is the most important doc in my life. :)
Very supportive people here. Keep in touch with how you're doing.

  • Welcome to Spine-Health. You've come to the right place for information and support. You'll find the members of the forum very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had so much happening in your young life. Those of us in our 40s and 50s almost expect this kind of stuff (although we're never ready for spine problems) but to be so young is disheartening.

I feel for you and hope you hang around and make friends to help you in some little way through your journey.

    Take care.
  • Thanks for the responses! :D

It's nice to hear from people who can help or relate.
I do have a pain doc. I just switched to a new one closer to me and he's got me on all kinds of new medications that I'm terrified to take. Ugh! But I'm trying to stay positive.
