Hi everyone,

I have a topic on here already telling about my problems with my leg twisting inwards. I'm still waiting for an apt. with the new neurologist and now i've had some more changes just over the weekend. Now my right leg turns inward when i walk ,now it feels more comfortable that way then straight and now my upper thighs on both legs push together right down to my knees whenever i walk. I have some low back pain, hip pain and allot of burning in my lower stomach and saddle area. It feels like everything is on fire. I used to get burning in my groin area only when i would sit for more then five or ten min. but its progressed quickly and is now there all the time. I feel like my symptoms are progressing very quickly and i don't know what to do about it. My therapist has no idea why i'm walking that way,she knows that i have weak muscles in my legs and tight ones in my hip area but she's not sure how everything is working together to cause me to walk the way i am. I asked the other therapist to talk with her today and try and figure out whats going on and put together a plan for me.She said that she would. I don't see them again until friday this week. I'm not sure that seeing my doc. would help any. She already sent in the referral to the neuro. and she doesn't know what else to do for me. What else can i do????? Someone please help me,i feel so lost right now. 8} :SS

  • Call your Neuro. Tell them what's happening - this could be something that needs addressing ASAP. Don't think about appts., when you're next scheduled to see someone, get yourself to your doctor. If ever there's a time to see the doc you trust, it's when something like this happens - terrifying symptoms.

It may be nothing, but it may be something and I'd certainly err on the side of caution.

Call and see a professional. You're too scared to wait and they'll understand that, ok?

    Please keep us posted.
  • Thanks for the opinion unfortunately at the moment i don't have a neurologist. The one i was seeing has shut her practice down and is on medical leave and my doctor has sent a referral to a new neuro. but i haven't heard from him yet so i'm not sure what to do.
  • If it gets much worse, I would consider going to an ER that has a full compliment of specialties at the particular hospital if I were you. My right foot points straight, and my left slightly outward which its suppose to do. I've since found it's a mix between my L2/3 and L5 nerves.

    PCTF C4 - T2, Laminectomies C5, C6 & C7. Severe Palsy left arm/hand.
  • call your new neuro and explain you have worsening neuro symptoms and can they see you soon

or as brenda and cathie said go to a hospital that has spinal dept, specialist drs

or call your last surgeon and talk to him

    hope your ok
