I had heard of people asking their congressmen and/or senators for assistance. I was able to do an on line request to our rep and one of the senators (John McCain's form had some problems so I'll call his office tomorrow). Remarkably easy. In doing the note to them you have to say the reason and "Social Security" is one of the drop down menu items! Not sure if it will help, if I'll hear back, etc. I'll give it a week and if I don't hear back I may call. I just gave my SSDI timeline and that it's pending in the reconsideration stage so can they help expedite approval. We'll see what happens. But SO EASY so think about it if you are waiting.

  • We've written letters in the past, and did recieve replies. Thing is, whoever is sending these "replies" out, seem to forget that they did so, as we recieved several in a short time span. All said the same thing.

Luckily I can do it all electronically and it has an option to request assistance with Social Security specifically.

  • Maybe you will get answers or even help. I'm just telling you of my experiences, and though we sent our letters via e-mail, the replies came through the regular mail.
Of course this was not pertaining to S.S. either, so totally different situation/s.

Good luck to you, I do feel sure that your letter will be answered.
