Have been dealing with chronic neck problems for over 20 years. Every time I go for an MRI it seems to get worse. Recently have had severe neck pain with headaches and shoulder pain..picked up MRI today and here is what it say's feeling really down about results...can someone help me understand it. Don't see neurologist till next week when I'm going for EMG and TPI's.
C3-4 mild disk ridge complex which partially effaces the ventral fluid column. There is mild right and mild-moderate left neural foraminal narrowing.
C5-6 there is a disk ridge comples which effaces the ventral fluid column. There is moderate neural foraminal narrowing bilaterally.
C6-7 Mild ridge complex.
C7-T1 There is a small central disk herniation which focally effaces the ventral fluid column.
T3-4 there is a disk ridge complex based on the sagittal images. Axial images were not obtined.

  • how can you feel down about the results when you dont understand the results of your mri? Only a dr can read the mri results and explain it to you. If we could read mri and give you your results we would have a full time job from home as medical advisers of mri results and conclusion. please have a dr review it with ya and then you can find people here who have same issue they had in the past or present, Let us know what dr says' Good luck

  • like your name, it does help. Reading MRI's are an art, some would say science and none of us have the ability to take your symptoms and equate them to an MRI report that can be read and interpretted many different ways. Good luck with your Dr's appointment, hope you get some answers and a treatment plan that will put you on the road to regaining your life.
