Any advice is needed please. I am a 24 year old female, average height, average weight, work as a customer service rep at a desk 10+ a day for the past 5 years. Prior to that I worked retail.
For the past 6+ years I have had a horrible pressure like pain in my mid back that reaches around my bottom ribs and goes to my shoulders and it NEVER goes away. I have had x-rays done in the past showing some arthritis and bone spurs but my Dr said that I my age he wasn't worried. He gave me muscle relaxers and sent me on my way. A year later I went back hoping for some more answers, again the Dr brushed it off like I was to young to have pain, been going back every year for the past 5 years or more. After 2 trips to the ER for major back pain within a week, i found a Dr that seemed to care and ordered me an MRI - waited a couple days for the results, called today and he said the MRI results came back normal... I am at a loss for words and feel like giving up and just considering that fact that i will be in pain for the rest of my life. On good days on a scale 1-10 its about a 7/8 on bad days its an 11! When i was younger they thought i had scoliosis turns out it wasn't but they called it something like ignart scoliosis, i have researched that on line and have found nothing so I think the Dr back then made it up. I have read on line that your mid-back is very hard to damage and i don't remember being in a car accident or anything that would have damaged it. Does anyone have any advice as to what it may be or what i should do to get some answers? Some days I just feel like giving up and i cant live with this type of pain forever! Please help me!
I have a follow up with the Dr on the 22nd - If anyone has anything thing i should ask my Dr or advice please let me know...
Thanks in advance!
