You read so much about the unsuccessful injections on sites like this. But I know there are success stories as I had one! Anyone care to share??
Three years ago I had a cervical spine hernation... pretty severe. After trying physical therapy and oral steroids we tried the ESI. It fixed me for THREE YEARS! Woo Hoo! Zero pain most of the time, very occasional bouts of neck stiffness that resolved with a couple of ibuprophen for a couple of weeks.
Recently I started having problems again, so we jumped right to the ESI. That was yesterday and I have big hopes! So far no change to my arm pain, and minor pain at the injection site, but it's been only 24 hours. Nothing out of the ordinary. I will take it easy today and hope for real relief soon. If I can get another couple of years out of this I will be thrilled. I may be headed for surgery eventually, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
