Just wanted to ask a question about an issue that i have after my surgery. I had a microdiscectomy march 2011 and i did not get any pain relief in my back or leg and foot! I did get movement in my foot back but still have the pain. I was just wondering if anyone has had this same problem i went and got another mri and found out that i have a disc buldge on the same disc l4l5 and now have fluid around the disc. I cant lay flat on my back on less than three pillows if i do then i feel completely paralized from the waist down. I was just curious if anybody else has had anything similar.

My first discectomy re-herniated in 3 months and back to the OR I went. I was given the choice of fusion or another discectomy and I didnt want a fusion on my lower back so I chose to do the same surgery . It has worked well and even though I am in need of a fusion for a different reason it is a surgery I never regretted
