Just looking for some advice, sympathy! I am 5 and a half months post cervical lamiectomy with fusion, c4,5,6. I went back to work after two months and fortunately I sit at desk all day.
Three years ago I also had anterior fusion with instrumentation on c4,5 i think. I need to know my numbers better. The original problem I had is my arms go numb while sleeping and as a result I am chronically tired. After first surgery, no improvement, after second surgery no improvement. I am just worn out from lack of sleep.
My other concern is range of motion. Surgeon says I should be fine as he would have had to operate much higher to limit my neck extension. I can't even finish a can of soda without a straw. I've been doing PT but don't know how much better it will get. I almost feel as if surgeon was not honest with me.
Does anyone anticipate this getting any better?
Appreciate any responses. Thanks, Bill
