  • Welcome to Spine-Health.

Have you only been seeing your GP? Have you considered taking your MRI and CT scans to a spine specialist?

I think I'd start talking and showing my films to some new docs until one finds what's happening. Maybe try an ortho who's fellowship trained in spine problems and if they find it's not your spine, then an ortho for your hip. I just think a specialist is what you need to see.

Take care and keep us posted.
  • So sorry to hear you are so down with your situation

Has anyone considered it could be nerve pain - this obviously won't show up on X-ray, MRI etc

You could ask your gp if it was possible and maybe see about nerve blocks

Steroid injections are not always successful so because they didn't work doesn't necessarily rule out the si joint or ligament in your hip

Maybe your gp could prescribe a medication for nerve pain to see if it helps

Have you tried putting ice packs on the areas that hurt? I find that helps me a lot

Let us know how you get on and chip up
