i dont have money or a job at the moment so i cant go to a back doctor. about 5 years ago, i was lifting something while i was hurt from yoga, and i experiences a horrible pain in my lower back, that didnt get better until a week later, i was stuck the whole week walking like the hunchback.
ever since then i have been plagued by this pain. i researched online and i believe i have sciatica. my pain begins in my lower back and also to the back of my thighs. its like a stabbing pain, like someone is getting something sharp and stabbing my back and it happens when i do heavy lifting and high intensity workout. the pain also travels from pressure on my heels (like when i run/walk a lot)and i feel the pressure on my heel shoot pain up to my lower back back. sometimes for a second i will lose strength in my knees, only for an instant though, and my knees will kind of give in for a second.
its a constant thing and it gets in the way of my exercising, i lost 100 lbs and its gotten better. but i need to be well to continue to exercise and keep the weight off. is there anything i can do on my own without a doctor? some kind of dvd of stretches i could do everyday? i found some but people complained that the exercises were not safe.
please any advice would be appreciated, i am so tired of this pain.
p.s. the only thing that helps me is a heat pad, and ab exercises, but its only temporary and it doesnt deter the pain from coming again.
