I had my 3 month checkup yesterday, and am now cleared to go back to work. I felt ready about a month ago, but suppose being able to do almost every normal daily activity is a good milestone to reach first. The x rays showed that the halo around the one screw that was showing at 6 weeks is almost gone! I could therefore get rid of the hard brace too.

I started swimming today and think the muscley pain in my buttock is far better and has been helped by fhe stretching and movemenf. I am so grateful for an excellent surgeon, a supportive family and an understanding employer. Today ia the first day of the rest of my life :)
