After seeing another specialist a neuro surgen, He also is not a big fan of adr in the lumbar region. He stated its not aproved for a very good reason for the lumbar by the fda. Actualy i assumed adr was already aproved for lumbar but he corrected me.
This is not the 1st specialist that has had bad things to say about the adr performed on the lumbar. He is aware i have adr in my l4l5 and ended up being fused in because of complications of nerves compromised.
He is willing to have a further look by ordering a flex ct scan to see if there is a posible movement issue at that level segment which i realy dont understand how there would be knowing that its fused along with adr in there. But he is the dr i am just a patient so i will go along with it for now anyways.
If it turns out that there is movement then only way i can see that hapening is that after removing fusion hardware it caused it to give. That would mean having taken out the hardware would come back and bite me in the ass.
But as he said if its not that then very posible nothing can be done if the nerve root was comprimised during the adr surgery. Meaning back to the nerve being damaged and to date there is no cure for such issue.
As i made it clear to him i have to have proof that nerve is damaged before i toss in the towel because as far as i am concerned not 1 dr has givin me specific proof other then just sugesting thats the issue and nothing can be done.
I tossed out a few questions about the posibility of preformis muscle causing nerve to be traped. He said emg would of shown that. Also i asked about levels below and above the fusion causing new symptoms. He says well flex ct scan would show something posibly if that is the case.
I feel i am covering all basis from all i learned here so now its in his hands.
The mri images along with mylogram from a year ago does not show anything that would warrant another surgery. This is why i always say these images dont show pain and dont always find the cause of pain for people. But that never means the person has no pain issues by any means. And i know many times drs will tell new parients its in there head just cause they cant see it.
Have a great day all".
