I am 27 years old. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Lyme's disease. Well I was going through my recovery from having a pic line in my arm and being treated with antibotics. They discovered that I had a major back problem. I was told that I had severe spinal stenosis with degenerative disc disease. I had a S1 though L3 spinal fusion with a laminectomy in January of 2010. I am now going back to the surgeon to see about another surgery. I am afraid because I did not get any real relief from this one. I am also concerned because of me being so young that the more I have fused the more pressure it puts on the disc how many more surgeries could I have in the future. I would like to get some ideas or suggestions. Thank you.

  • as many opinions from highly qualified consultants before you commit to any more surgery.you are young and even if further surgery is indicated ..due to your age you will more than likely need revision surgery before you are 40 proceed with caution !!
