I just found this site today & have already spent many hours poring over all the posts. You seem like a great group- informative & caring. I'm glad to be here.

My name is Rebecca & at 32 my back just started killing me. I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, hyper-mobile joints, DDD, sciatica & a bulging disc. After a laminectomy & microdiskectomy I had some relief...temporarily. This was followed by PT, drugs, ESI's & then another surgery- spinal fusion, also at L4-L5. Improved for a bit, then downhill again & all the PT & treatment again led to a 3rd surgery: facet fusion with an Aspen device. I have tried ESI's, rhizotomy, ablation, TENS unit, nerve blocks, PT & way too many different meds.

The hyper-mobility is congenital. They have no other explanations for my problems, as I have not had an accident. I did very physical labour in my 20's, but who knows?

Current diagnoses: DDD, radicular pain, Failed Back Syndrome, sciatica & hyper-mobile joints. (I've also had 3 knee surgeries due to hyper-mobility)

I am currently awaiting approval from my insurance provider for a trial of the Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator.

I look forward to getting to know you guys. Blessings to all!
