Has anyone had urinary burning after lumbar fusion? I had my surgery in 2007 in the last couple of years if I'm on my feet for extended periods or ride my riding mower I have sever burning. Doctor keeps saying dehydration but I drink plenty of fluids. I'm thinking something with nerve damage. Thanks

  • Maybe consult a urologist or gyno (if you are female) They may have better answers for you. Could be UTI, prolapsed bladder etc

I kept coming up with negative UTI's at urologist, but, gyno knew it was a bladder prob and had a bladder lift (no big deal) and have not ever had a prob again and it's been 5 yrs.

Just a thought...been there, done that
  • Welcome to Spine Health :)))

What level/s did you have fused? There is a possibility that you have nerve damage, but I'd encourage you to get a referral to a urologist.
