house work courage?

Today is the day when I am supposed to clean my house. I am trying to find the courage to "get her done". LOL

I did get some great sleep from 3 am until almost 8 am this morning. I guess I am feeling a little cocky from it.

Wish me luck :) I swear I haven't done anything but dishes and laundry for at least 2 weeks. There is a strange smell coming from the kitchen and I have to find the source, it frightens me, but courage is the mastery of fear (or something like that). **** bad humor I know.

Tata for now-

  • Don't get too "gun ho" ;)

I use to do that and would clean like up a storm and then pay for it for days on end.

L1 - S2 "gone" useless in 1 way or another. DDD. RA. Bone Spurs. Tons of nerve damage/issues. Stenosis. Both knees replaced. 50 yrs old. I had a great fall (hence my user name) at age 41 and it has been a domino effect every since.
  • Don't go crazy I do that every week when I finally can't take the hubby and kids doing the cleaning cuz no one cleans like mom lol.... So I so nothing they yell at me if I do the laundry or even put the dishes in the dishwasher, then I hold off til I cant do it anymore and clean like a mad woman and boy do I pay the price .... Be careful please it has taken time but I have realized it is not worth it...

But I know how you feel ... gotta get er done :)
  • Laying on my bed heating pad and tens unit on high. Ouch. Try and get the car tomorrow.
  • Julie,

Hope you didn't overdue! I know me and brooms, mops and dishes etc., do NOT get along very well! "Get r done" in stages woman!!! :)

    PCTF C4 - T2, Laminectomies C5, C6 & C7. Severe Palsy left arm/hand.
  • Classic way to overdo it and suffer a relapse! We've all done (and still do) it.
What I try to do now is to become time oriented instead of task oriented.
So instead of working away beyond my capacity, I will set myself a realistic time-say 30 minutes-, have a rest and do some more if I feel OK.
Pacing yourself is the key, but it takes a bit of practice and determination.
Pain is a good teacher though!!!
Have you heard of DOMS? Delayed onset muscle soreness.
I get it often 2 days later.
