Question - crackling and cracking spine normal post-op?

Good evening

I'm about 3 weeks post op and have been out of a collar for a week. I am noticing that my back and neck are cracking and crackling. I'm not having any unusual pain or anything. Just wondering if I should be worried.

  • I asked my surgeon the same question, and he told me it doesn't really mean anything. I always have cracking.. not just post op.

Another surgery in the near future. I am 26 years old.

Current Meds- Norco 7.5/325, Cymbalta 60mg, Gabapentin, Adderall 20mg
  • I had cracking post op - someone told me it is the ligaments or tendons moving. I remember worrying that it was my hardware/bones cracking etc but apparently not!
