I am 5 or so months out of a md, I am having huge problems sitting. I need to sit for long periods school/work and no matter what I do, it is accumulating and causing a lot of discomfort/pain. I never had issues like this before the surgery. I use good posture and get up many times to rest, but im having issues. Any suggestions?

  • Hard to say. Have you had an mri after the MD? Might take more time to heal or they maybe did not get it all who knows for sure. Siting is always the worse. I cant sit after multiple surgery even after 7 years.

  • is the worst for me as well. It was before my surgery as well though. I can not sit at all, need to curl up and lean on one hip.

Like Alex, was wondering if you have had an mri since your surgery? I am 11 weeks out, and am going for an mri today, as I have no improvement since surgery.

Besides sitting, how is your recovery going? Do you see improvement in other areas? Was your discectomy on your lower lumbar area? Have you discussed this with your surgeon?

Hope that you are able to get some answers. Wishing you all the best.
