I have had 2 herniated discs L4-5 and gone through 2 micro discs with in the last year and a half. With my first micro i was feeling great just 3 days out of surgery. Then i had re herniated the same disc 8 months later, only to have increased pain. My Surgeon had told me there was a possibility of scar tissue or nerve damage. To make a long story short after going through multiple ESI injections, PT, along with Pain management, the pain was gradually getting worse. Not getting any results from my surgeon other then wait and see i got a second opinion from a Neuro specialist who sent me for a follow up MRI along with X-rays. To find out i have Chronic arachnoiditis.I am wondering if any one has arachnoiditis along with there experiences in dealing with the excruciating pain and the annoying tingling and numbness from the back to to the leg, along with the sexual dysfunction. from my understanding it can be caused from the ESI or surgery. Any help info or advice would GREATLY be appreciated!
