burning pain in neck

Hello Everyone,
I've been having a lot of pain in my neck that feels like a burning sensation along with sharp stabbing pain in my left arm and upper left chest. I had an ACDF on C6/7 in 2006. I had a neck xray done 3 weeks ago and the results are normal. I know something is causing this pain. Has anyone experience this?

  • Hi Sukiee,

I am having the same symptoms and waiting to have an EMG done..yet mine are in both arms. The upper chest pains are frightening. I hope you feel better soon and as soon as i get some results i will be sure to post!

I would probably be requesting an MRI to check your fusion, look for adjacent disc disorder, new osteophytes, bone spurs, etc etc etc.

There are so many things that can't be seen by an xray alone - such as a new soft tissue disc herniation.

Take care and I hope you can find some relief!!

Please keep in mind ... I am not a doctor nor have I ever played one on T.V. ... Any actions should be at the direction of your physicians.
