Neck, Shoulder pain and Arm/Leg pain

:H I had ACDF C4/5/6 in September 2010. Since then pain in my neck and shoulders has been awful also pain in both arms and legs/feet. My Spinal Surgeon organised neck injections for me on 4th August 2011 which were pain relief but also diagnostic. I had 2 cortisteroid injections down both sides of my neck which were most painful as I had no anaesthetic! When I saw Surgeon on 6th September I told him that I had excellent pain relief for 3 weeks then pain returned with a vengeance. He said that this proved what he thought that I required further surgery, this being posterior fusion of facet joints around areas C6/7. However the present NHS waiting list he said was approximately 12-18 weeks! Due to the extreme pain and spasms I am suffering he has arranged for me to receive further injections under anaesthetic but again there is a waiting list of 6-8 weeks! I had a lengthy PLIF plus rebuild operation in December 2008 and it seems this has probably caused all the trouble in the cervical area. I have also had knee replacements to both knees with revision to right knee due to faulty operation. I would be most interested to hear from anyone who has had a posterior cervical operation also if they have had fusion of cervical facet joints. I am also a British Nuclear Test Veteran having been involved in UK Atomic Tests in Pacific in 1958!
