I am going for a caudal block next week for my coccyx. I have never had one done. I have had ESI's higher up in my back.
I am hoping that this will isolate my coccyx pain from my lumbar pain, but not sure if that will happen.Hoping to see if I get rid of the coccyx pain (coccygetomy) how much better I would feel.
I was told that I will be numb and unable to move my legs for about 4 hours afterward. Does anyone know if this will also numb my lower lumbar or if it will only be for the coccyx area?
This will be done diagnostically but they will also be adding in a steroid so I am hoping I might also get relief after the day of injection as well. I didn't have any luck with ESI's for my lumbar area.
I am actually looking forward to the injection 8} being numb and maybe getting some pain relief even if it is only for the four hours...I have never had much pain relief since my journey began.
Anyone have any stories of their caudal blocks?
