Hey there guys! To make a long story short... around last January I noticed some pain in my collar bone area with certain exercises in the gym. This pain then started in the shoulder area which ached alot during the winter months. For the last 4 months or so the pain has been in my forearm and fingers as well. I am only 20 years old, and am very active (did play soccer for a good 15 yrs), and am unsure why I have this problem already as my neck should be somewhat healthy! As far as finger pain goes, its usually only my pointer and middle finger, with the odd thumb ache. I have also had some pain in my rear rotator cuff muscles (Major teres).
I went to a kinesiolgist and some extensive ART (active release therapy) done and for those who don't know it's a very deep tissue muscle massage and hurts like hell but usually helps a lot.. I only had relief while treatments lasted (about 5 weeks, and I went 2x a week). I then went to a close family friend who's a chiropractor and he took X-rays and mentioned that my cervical spine lost it's natural C-shape. I also had an MRI done which is posted below, my uncle who's a doctor and my GP said my MRI is fine and shows only minor wear and tear that most people get anyway. My chiro on the other hand, said the MRI is a definite sign of what is causing my pain. I went to the chiro for 3x a week for a month with zero pain relief. I also had an ultrasound of my shoulder and everything came back PERFECT!
Basically.. I just want to know what you guys think as far as my MRI goes, do you believe my neck is the root of all this pain, or is it something else such as trigger points in my muscles due to scar tissue or thickened fascia?? I am currently doing active release therapy for some deep tissue massaging and am attending chiro again 2x a weeek!">
