Tomorrow at 6AM I report to St. Mary's Hospital.

Wish me luck, you guys. I feel less nervous this time, and had a great extra week with my family. The weather was gorgeous. Things feel good this time.

I hope we can all get up in time to get to the hospital so early. We are not morning people.

You guys have been great support during this last week of waiting, thank you all.

It helps so much to hear from other people who know what it's like to go through this. priceless. you guys are the greatest.

I'll check in after the surgery when I can to see how you all are doing. Esp, my fellow surgery victims... i mean patients.

  • Good luck with your surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery!!! Things will get better and glad it's finally on! :)

  • Hi Everybody,
Today was my first day home from my ALIF. whew it's nice to be here.

Surgery went great, but post surgery there were some bumps. my pain is still quite bad, but getting better every day.

My night nurse, the first day after my surgery gave me a med i was allergic to, and while doing so blew out my IV, and they couldn't get a fresh line in me for nearly 5 hours, so those 5 hours were really really awful. I used tools from my meditation practice as well as prayer to get through it, but it was really terrible. i have never been in pain like that, and was pricked 7 times before somebody could finally get a line in.

But I'm here now, and on the road to healing.

Thank you so much for all your prayers. :-)
