Hello, I had bone spurs removed on C-4,5 and C-5,6 on June 4 2011. When I woke up right arm was real weak which it wasnt before surgery. I been going to PT and my arm was starting to come back some but about a month ago I started having pain inbetween shoulder blades and pain in shoulder. My forearm started hurting and the arm weakness was getting worse. Pt wanted me to see the surgen and get a MRI to check it out. I had a MRI, Mylegram with cat scann and the doctor tells me he doesnt see anything that is on the nerves in my neck. He wants me to get a second opinion from another surgen and to see a orthopic doctor about my shoulder. I have lost some muscle mass in my shoulder area due to this arm weakness and the bone outline is visable.
I came across this on a search for shoulder pain and arm weakness, Brachial Neuritis, http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/315811-overview. I read over eveything about it and thats me plus it has a picture of a persons shoulder area which looks like mine. I might be jumping the gun but I am going to ask the doctor about this and see what he thinks. This might help others with problems like mine that dont know whats wrong but first see you doctor to see what they say about it.
Thanks for reading, Sandy
