I am 5 weeks post op from my PLIF revision to fuse L2/L3 to the previous fusion. In the last couple days the top of my incision has become swollen and is draining. The doc called in an antibiotic and I am going to see him tomorrow to have it looked at. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

  • Yes I did! Although my scar swelled up and started leaking about 10 months post op. I have had all sorts of trouble since. Keep an eye on it after you finish the antibiotics and watch out for fever and/or increased pain.
Good luck - I hope you recover soon.
