Swell two weeks after Microdisectomy

I had a L5/S1 microdisectomy 2 weeks ago and at about day 12 after the surgery right after all the incision tape came off a swelling began. It's all around the incision and raised about 1/2 inch. There is no redness or fever and the incision is fine. It does not hurt to the touch but when I sit puts pressure on the spine so is uncomfortable. The doctor didn't see it but does not seem to be concerned.
has anyone else had this delayed swelling? It's concerning and I'm wondering if I've done too much too soon to irritate something?
