HI everyone, im a newbie, Im 24 and have a 5 year old daughter. Ive had lower to mid back pain for around 8-10 years, i cant actually pin point when it started.
I have never had any accidents involving my back, I broke my ankle and that is the extent of my injuries.
So as far as the pain goes, i have a constant tightness in my spine, along with the feeling of 'squashing' or like my spine is compressing too much when im standing. I can only stand still for an absolute maximum of 10 minutes, I can run with minimal pain or the adrenaline knocks out the pain because it only hurts once i stop running. walking is a completely different story, i cant walk without being in pain, i can walk for about 10 minutes before i have to bend like im touching my toes which stretches and cracks my spine.
I dont know if i have some kind of joint problem because i can pop/crack almost every bone in my body. its not a habit, i get the feeling of a build up or tightness which is relieved with cracking.
I wake up in the night to crack my back before i can go back to sleep and i dont ever wake up feeling refreshed because of the pain.
Im not on any type of painkillers, massage helps to relax me but doesnt actually do anything once the massage has stopped. ive had xrays, mri and physical therapy. all state nothing visually wrong with my spine. and to top it all off in the last few months i have been getting a type of nerve pain on the side of my spine, i dont know if its a nerve but its the type of sharp pain that can bring you to your knees. it can happen once or 10 times a day, and is between 10 seconds to 2 minutes. I have tried to find something in common with the times i get this pain to see whats causing it but theres nothing, i can be sitting, standing, anything.
Any idea will help, im in the uk so nhs services is what im using. oh and ive been told i might just be one of those people who have to live with back pain?? surely theres got to be something that can be done
