Between Roxicodone and percocett? Arent they the same thing, except one has tylenol and one doesn't? I'm trying to figure why I got pulled off roxi and put on percocett when I already have kidney damage. Just wondering, anybody know the diffences in them - that is all I'm finding thru research.

  • You got it right. Oxycodone with/without Acetaminophen.
  • One of the kindest things you've ever said to me :) Seriously thanks for the info - I appreciate it.
  • Yeah the world will spin off its axis next. This sets a dangerous precedence ... ;) So I might as well add to it. Here is the breakdown.

With varying amounts of Acetaminophen (325, 500, 650mg)

Brand Names: Endocet, Magnacet, Percocet, Primalev, Primlev, Roxicet, Tylox, Xolox

    With NO Acetaminophen:

Brand names: Dazidox, OxyContin, Oxyfast, OxyIR, Percolone, Roxicodone, Roxicodone Intensol, M-Oxy, ETH-Oxydose, Endocodone

You'll notice some of the more popular names in those lists. Same stuff, different manufacturer. The same practice is used with hydrocodone based drugs. They mix with acetaminophen. Think Lortab and Vicodin as the more popular ones.

With liver/kidney diseases I would also ask why you were moved to the version with acetaminophen.

    Btw, You're welcome.
