Hi everyone. Yesterday, 1/19/12, I was one month post TLIF. I'm still on 10mg Norco which I have to get filled every 10th day because that's all they call in, absurd IMO. I have a few new symptoms and I'd like to know if any of you veterans of this have had these issues. I'm not normally a complainer but it seems that I've been doing it frequently. I'm feeling abnormal. I don't have sciatic pain anymore other than a twinge every now and then when I've sat too long but I'm having a good real of lumbar pain. Dull burning, stabbing, throbbing. Hip pain - feels like my hips are going to snap from pressure. It's painful enough at times to cause nausea. Headache - when the lumbar pain is at its peak, my head hurts quite bad. My legs - they jerk often. Also, I will have a day where my legs are fine but then have several where my legs don't want to work. They do work but feel as though they are weak, lazy, almost like dead weight. I find myself walking with my knees bent the first 10 steps I take after getting out of bed. I think I can feel my hardware. At times when I move a certain way I feel a strange scraping, rolling sensational in there. I was hoping to be weaning off the Norco by now. I'm a bit confused because I thought I'd be further along. My Dr talked like I wouldn't have to take norco much longer but I'm reading many stories where ppl are on meds at least 3 months post op. I am scared to death of looking like a drug seeker. I've been taking pain meds over a year so you would think I wouldn't have a complex anymore and to be honest, my give a darn is almost non-exsistant. Two more things!! I have had no appetite since the surgery. I can get 5 or 6 bites down before I'm finished. Sleep- the most I can sleep is 2 hours then I'm awake. I'm a tad frustrated. Please, if any of you have advice, words of wisdom, etc., please help. Thank you!!
