Oct, 2011: Pain started. low back (right ON the spine), right side of low back, right inguinal region
Went to ortho: Did MRI of L/S spine- showed to be normal. After that, he said "I don't know"
Went to Chiro for a short time - didn't really notice a difference - my Chiro moved so I stopped going to one
Went to Neuro: Did a neuro exam. Sent me to PT. Didn't really work... TENS machine works some... Now I have one at home but can only use it here and there - I'm still working
Went to Spine Specialist - first he thought it might be coxxydenia and did a coxxyx injection - did not work.
Went back to Spine Specialist - now he is looking into other things (sacroiliac dysfunction and maybe rheum disorders). Did some bloodwork, sending me for ANOTHER MRI (focusing on sacrum and right pelvis). Is also sending me for a SI joint injection.
As far as medications - this is the strange part. This PAIN did not start until I started weaning myself off of cymbalta (I was taking it for anxiety for 5 years - but I didn't like the fact that if you miss one dose that you will start having a withdraw - a BAD ONE - it took me 2 months to withdraw from it). Cymbalta can also be used for neuropathic pain. So my question is - Could Cymbalta
been "masking" this pain that, If I would have known was there, I would have taking measures to find out what it was?
Then, I was prescribed Tramadol for the pain. REALLY!?!??
Tramadol is a "SISTER" medication of cymbalta. I really don't want to have to go through another withdraw like I did with cymbalta. So I avoided taking that.
So today I was prescribed Neurotin and Flexeril.
I'm just SOOOO tired of this. I'm only 42 and not ready for a lifetime of pain.
