The last time I visited this site it was before my antererior and posterior l4l5 fusion surgery..that was almost a year ago.. This site offered me so much info before my surgery... I'm now returning for guidance. 11 months post surgery I slipped and fell on ice and I'm scared that the fusion was messed up. I feel pain in my low back, tail bone area. It's been a week since the fall and I'm feeling pain like I had pre surgery... So discouraged.

  • Sorry that you need to come back. How was your recovery going before your fall?

Did you go to see your doctor after your fall to at least be checked over and have xrays to start? Please do if you haven't. Have you been icing the area?

I would also see if they would include the tailbone in the xray (or MRI if you can) to see if it is broken or dislocated. I suffer from coccydinia on top of my lumbar problems and it is very painful.

I hope that things start to feel better for you and that nothing is wrong with your fusion. Please let us know how you are doing, we are here for you!
