Well, it's been just under 9 weeks and I'm beginning to think that I traded one pain for another. Went back to work (Community Health Nurse) this week and I am having excruciating pain in my neck and muscle spasms in both shoulders and upper arms. Will this ever end?

  • 9 weeks post op is nothing!! I went back to work 9 weeks post acdf- big mistake!! I thought I felt pretty good, then I went back to work! Consider taking a muscle relaxer. You may also have to do some physical therapy.

Another surgery in the near future. I am 26 years old.

Current Meds- Norco 7.5/325, Cymbalta 60mg, Gabapentin, Adderall 20mg
  • I take Robaxin twice a day, Ibuprofin during the day, and Percocet most evenings. Working 10 hour shifts, so that's definitely not helping. Will follow up with my neurosurgeon about PT. Thanks for that suggestion.
