Vibrating in feet and tingling in hands

Hi There,

I am 5 months out from my second L5-S1 Discectomy and am having vibrating in my foot along with numbing down my right arm and tingling in both hands. This does not happen constantly but it is happening more than periodically. My back has been angry for about the last two weeks and I have been feeling a bit of those old familiar feelings :( My neck has also been upset and burning here and there. I have about three herniated discs there and 3 Cervical ESI"s about three-ish years ago.

Anyone else experience this?

  • You've been through this before, so it is probably time to get your symptoms reviewed by your doctor. I hope you are just having a flare instead of something more major, but to me, it's better to know.

  • HI Karen,

I have an appointment scheduled for the 16th. I am hoping for just a flare up. This is the end of the second week dealing with it. I thought it would have mellowed by now but it is more present every day.

  • Hopefully it's a flare up but smart to see your doctor.
Maybe your body just needs a little 'assistance' getting back to it's happy place. Sometimes an NSAID or medrol pack will do the trick.

    Good luck.
  • Thank you, D'Nice. That is what I am thinking. I am also hoping for an MRi of my whole back to see how everything is going.
