repetitive motion muscle pain

I'm 10 months post op and was doing well until last week when I had to do lots of repetitive motion hand work. Has anyone at my length of recovery had a set back with tight scalenes and behind the shoulder blade pain from doing too much? I'm using ice/heat and taking muscle relaxants and guess I need to do that for a longer time. It's just very frustrating to have to do so little at a time or my muscle pain kicks in. I have been doing PT exercises also. Does anyone have similar setbacks and will this pass? Thanks to all, cat.
