My boyfriend is 7 months into chronic pain from a back injury and so far nothing is relieving his pain nor helping him sleep. Back to the doctor again who sits behind his computer and acts like he actually knows what he's doing in regards to his condition. Anyway, we asked if he could try an anti-depressant and a different pain med as he has been taking vicodin every few days but that only helps with his stiff neck and not with the actual lumbar disk pain. And the lack of sleep in conjuction to the pain and the lack of being able to do the things he used to do leads to some depression. He agreed and said he should try Cymbalta and Ultram. Well when we got home I googled both and they have an interaction....WTF?! Has anyone taken these two at the same time? He doesn't really like meds but he realizes at times he needs to sleep and at times he needs something that might help with the pain but the interaction between these 2 was scary! We'll be asking the pharmacist but wanted to ask here as well! Just one more thing to make me realize his doctor is a complete idiot!!
