Had Pro Disc in 3 discs 4 years ago (Straubing Germany)...now have infection with the L4-L5 that presents to the surface with a now open wound.

Recommended to treat with supression antibiotics. Other option is to remove ARD. Then fuse.

Have made contact with Germany; costs, recovery time, are prohibitive. Looking for capable surgeon in U.S. with ProDisc experience.

Current Infectious Disease physician is supportive of this decision to remove ARD and fuse.

Any ideas? Have been to Mayo (supression idea).

  • If you been to mayo what did they recomend? Is adr back or neck? If its lumbar adr many dr,s dont want to remove it because of how complicated it is to remove and high risk,

If its neck i am not realy sure,
