Hello all. Please review my back history listed in my signature. I joined a Crossfit gym about 10 months ago. I trained for roughly 7 of those months 4 to 6 days a week. I had to take off for my surgery, but will be returning to the gym after my 4 week post-op check next week. Obviously, I will start with stretching and mobility for a while. I will be discussing my training in detail with my surgeon again, but I would really love to speak with someone else who has recovered from any type of back surgery and returned to CrossFit. So if there is a fellow CrossFitter out there, please share your experience!
22 year old. Herniated L4-L5 and L5-S1 in December of 2008 in horse riding fall. All non-surgical methods failed. L4-L5 micro discectomy in Sept. 2010. Further herniation of L5-S1 disc in Nov. 2011 and had L5-S1 micro discectomy March 2012.
