hello everyone,am new to forum and so pleased to find you, have just been diagnosed with lumbar degenerative disc disease with a bulging disc in lower back, also told following mri that have some fusion of bones in neck as well but these not bothering me at all, lower back though is another question never known pain like this worst than labour, back and legs keep going into spasm, bladder has stopped working properly and urologist says i need to self catheratise, numb in saddle area and very scared, told they don't think disc is out enough for ces but have apparently got all the symptons bar foot drop. can anyone tell me will the steroid injections fix this and will bladder recover on it;s own, work in childrens nursery but presently on ssp as can't lift young kids, so bored. now told by consultant that unlikely to be able to do my job again, any information from people with similar will be so appreciated feeling very low

  • I would think if its affecting the bladder then it is serious enough to posibly need surgery,
They might want to see if the injections bring inflammation down enough to get bladder fucrion back and go from there,

    Best of luck and welcome,
