Arthritis, neck pain, headache and dizziness..

Hi all. I suffer with Psoriatic Arthritis and have been experiencing quite severe pain in my neck for about 6 months now, at C7 mainly. The pain started to radiate into my shoulder, also into my arm, making it numb and painful.

I saw my doctor who thought that inflamation from the arthritis may have been causing the neck pain, and in turn, pinched a nerve.

But I now have new symptoms.. For the past two/three weeks I have been feeling almost constantly nauseous, have awful headaches and dizziness. I even feel dizzy when sitting or laying in bed.

I'm due to see my doctor again on Monday. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms before? Any feedback would be enormously helpful and massively appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

  • Welcome to Spine Health! I know exactly how you feel. I also suffered with severe headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain and dizziness/vertigo. All of this can make you nauseous. I suffered for 8 months before I had surgery. At night, I used to feel so dizzy that I had to keep my eyes open until I eventually fell asleep from the medication, since it would make me drowsy.

Keep us posted on after your doctor's appointment!
