Pain meds post op

I am 6 weeks post op and trying to wean off pain meds. The past few days my pain has been very high again as I wean. I was taking opana 30mg 2 times daily, and 7.5 / 325 percocet 4 times daily for BT.
I know it depends on a lot of things like the person, the type of surgery, etc, but I’m wondering if anyone has an idea how long people should take meds post-op.
