Just one to know if this is a situation of some of you with just one level cervical fusion c5-c6.

Since I had surgery I find that is coordination to use my hands is different, for cooking, cleaning like scrubing, or looking for something in the purse... as if I the change of motion in the neck though I can move it change the other stuff. I am not talking about the pain, that is another thing.

So did you got accostumed to this?

Can you bent?

And sorry I know I have ask this a thousand times... does anybody feel strange while talking because of the change in movement. I have meet people with three level fusion that have good ROM and don't notice the difference while doing things.

The question is do you feel less coordinated after fusion, like when cooking, or washing the dishes???

  • just to hear... nope that does not happen to me. My ROM is no problem, I can express myself as before... and so on, or it did happen but I got accostumed.

  • I had some of that, but 2 years out,it's hard for me to remember because I had alot of ortho problems including a shoulder, that made a difference.

I defintely had balance and coordination issues at first, it took time, but they are much better now.

I guess the good news is, that at this point I've adapted or just gotten so used to things, that I don't notice the stuff like that anymore. :)

I hope that your symptoms will improve.
