i have been informed by my dr whom i trust w/ my life and the insurance coverage (medicare) that the surgical fusions i need at 3 and 4 and 6 and 7 have to been done but not at the same time..has anyone else had to have this type of surgery done this way? i have had 3 back surgeries done over the last 8 yrs. the last one was 3 yrs ago and it was a fusion at the L4/5 levels while i came thru the actual surgery ok i did end up w/ a good case of MRSA and alot of complications from that which is one thing to deal with i have been tested by my ID drs and at this time i am MRSA free(?) and i know all the precautions will be in place which it is what it is my question is this..has anyone else had the same surgery split into 2 ? a litte worried.. but the idea of getting the numbing and tingling out of my hands and arms and getting back to some type of normal life is my goal..i am 54 yr olds and just would like to know what i need to know! any feed back will greatly be appreciated i believe the 6/7 is going to be done 1st, i was told alittle less evasive and the 3/4 is alittle more risky, not words that make this girl feel secure but if it were you how would you prepare for all of this??
