I have written a couple of times on here but I have grade 2 spondylolithesis L5/S1, foraminal bilateral spinal stenosis, pars defect L5, herniated disc between L4/L5 and 2 degenerative discs. I am supposed to be doing a PhD in Medicine and can barely sit, stand or lie for more than a few mins at a time. I'm currently taking buprenorphine transtec patches, tramadol, diazepam, paracetamol, diclofenac and a couple of others for the side effects of the ones listed. I have been waiting 13 weeks for an appointment at a pain management clinic anyway after 7 referrals (5 of them urgent) and my friend and I ambushing my neurosurgeon last week I now have a date for an epidural next month. Failing this it is surgery.

Furthermore my dad passed away suddenly last month and with all of this put together and probably since meeting the man of my dreams 18 months ago my outlook on life has changed. We have been talking a lot lately and we want a to have a baby. I know I need to speak to specialists regarding my back situation but wondered if there was anyone who had been pregnant whilst having spondylolithesis pre and or post surgery?! I would love to hear your stories!!

My head is all over the place, I have been off studying for 7 1/2 months, i'm lonely during the days when everyone else is at work, frustrated how all this has come about, irritated by people who don't understand what pain I am going through and obviously still grieving my dad!!

I would love to hear if anyone has had any similar experiences!!!
