I just had S1, L5, L4, L3, L2 stabilized and am in my ninth week post. I am still very sore, I walk a km a day but still am sore at bottom of back and top of leg. I have quit smoking for almost 3 months after 38 yrs. Now I need to lose 50 lbs I have gained since my first surgery in 2007. I am so sick of pain and wondered how other people are after a fusion and hardware that big of an area, help.

  • I am scheduled for a 4 level fusion in a couple of weeks. This will be my first surgery.

I am wondering how much I will be able to do at 8 weeks out. I would like to go to a church conference on a college campus and am wondering if I will be up to it.

Let me know how you are doing.

  • Hi susan:

How was your fusion ? How many implants did you receive?

I am a candidate for surgery on a couple of months and I am very concern.

    Hope you feel well.
