When Can I Be Me Again

I had a two level ACDF one week ago. I'm walking daily like I'm supposed to, and other than that I'm in my recliner. I'm going crazy. I still need pain meds for muscle spasms and pain in the back of my neck. My pre surgery problems are gone, so I'm not complaining about that at all.

I just want to know when I can drive, and knit, and sew and garden and be me again! I'm being a big baby!!!! Oh wo is me...

  • I had a two level almost 6 weeks ago....I do my daily walking as well :) Get used to the going crazy...lol
There is a light at the end of the tunnel...I got bored (am bored) too, but I was given the ok to drive at my 2 week check up. I didn't until about 4 weeks out though. I also didn't take any meds after about 2 weeks, thought that was pretty sweet. Knitting sounds like something you could start soon, gardening might be a bit longer...lol
Don't rush your recovery, it'll happen a little each day - try to relax and take each day as it comes....
